Moto2 GP Misano – A horrible and reckless gesture, that of Romano Fenati during the Moto2 class San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix.

The Ascolano rider, in a tussle with Stefano Manzi, after an extreme fight (which does not justify his behaviour) on a straight line at 250 km/h, stretched out his hand on the Forward team rider's handlebars, pushing the front brake.

The color bearer of the Snipers team was immediately disqualified from the GP, but as expected the matter did not end there. The FIM and the team have also decided to suspend him for the next two Grands Prix, Aragon and Thailand, while they are currently deciding whether to replace him, it is not clear whether for the next two GPs or for the rest of the season.

After the incident Sky Sport MotoGP interviewed Stefano Manzi who said: “In the previous lap we had a contact, but it was unwanted. Let's say he came long, while I made my turn. Then when he got back on track we touched and unfortunately we both ended up on the grass. But I really didn't expect such a gesture. So bad that there isn't much to say, he speaks for himself. I haven't met him for clarification, but there's no problem. Even if I don't meet him I'm still fine."

Given that Manzi has little head to run, what Fenati did is too dangerous.
Probably in making the stupidity "he knew what he was doing" in the sense that he gave it to him in order to upset his bike, not to make it overturn... but making a mistake takes just a moment, and then at that speed it is really too dangerous, they already risk their skin, there's no need to go looking for them.

Manzi will certainly be more careful from now on

let's say he was wrong but it was just a reaction without hurting if he wanted to hurt he would have pinched harder.
years ago I remember at the Monza race of the 350 Agostini and Pasolini changing gears on the Lesmo curve.

This is a nice anecdote, I didn't know that...
I also think it's as you say, he knew what he was doing and deep down he did well but nothing would have been enough to turn a foolish thing into a tragedy, he shouldn't have done it

yes he shouldn't have done it, but it was exaggerated to give him two match suspensions, one match was enough

Do you seriously think about it??? If she wanted to pull it down she pinched harder! As if calculating something like this is simplicity over and done, as if there shouldn't be a thousand thousand things that can go wrong, like the pilot's surprise reaction, a sudden jerk, he loses control and they both go down. How do you justify an intentional move like that, what teaching do we give to kids, to fans, to what levels do you want this splendid sport to reach, maybe you want it at rollerblade? Fenati should have been disqualified at least, at least, until the end of the championship, then, reading his justifications, I would be even more severe, we are sending out the wrong message, but so wrong that it could cause the death of someone, then, if it happens, everyone to incense the head.

Sorry, but these intentional and extremely dangerous gestures have no justification and belittling the extent of the matter is wrong

    Great Dovizioso
    Great Lorenzo
    Great Ducati

From rag of license at least for this year!
Other than that, but do you know what you're saying msc? Obviously not
      Ever been to the track?
Do you know how light the front end is with those accelerations? It doesn't take a lot of clamping... when you're on a straight line you don't even push on the handlebars...
You can't control something like this, much less know what certain effects it has... if this poor guy's steering was locked he might die... Fenati couldn't control this... and then what do you give him? Two more days of disqualification if he dies?...
I was on the track in 2013, I think, when the "legendary" Canepa did something like this, which ended in a nice tumble.

He didn't clamp harder or simply couldn't, as the brake lever stopped against the fingers of Manzi's hand. That's all. Mr. Fenati is under arrest for attempted murder, as well as a two-match suspension. Revoke your license and go be a farmer, you dickhead!!!

In fact, that's what I said, he shouldn't have done it because there are too many uncertainties
