MotoGP GP Spain Jerez Aprilia Racing – Aleix Espargaró closed the first day of testing for the Jerez Grand Prix, fourth stage of the 2024 MotoGP, with the seventh fastest time.
In the first free practice sessions of the day, Espargaró took fourth position, immediately behind his teammate. During the afternoon session, Aleix achieved the seventh best time, four tenths behind the first, thus directly entering Q2.

“In Portimão and America I wasn't competitive enough, but here I see myself as significantly stronger. The bike works very well, I'm fast and with the medium tire I'm one of the fastest. I'm happy, I'm not that far away from others. We need to understand how to avoid the front tire overheating, so as not to repeat what happened last year."
