Moto3 | Gp Jerez Test 2: Alonso the fastest even in the wet
Best Italian Matteo Bertelle, fifth with the Honda Snipers
Moto3 GP Spain Jerez Tests 2 – The weather had a hand in the second practice session of the Moto3 class Spanish Grand Prix, fourth stage of the 2024 MotoGP.
The riders took to the track with Pirelli rain tyres, this is because it could rain even in the afternoon and because they have no experience with this type of tire in the wet.
Absent is Josè Antonio Rueda (KTM Red Bull Ajo), who after having undergone appendicitis surgery a few weeks ago, decided to give up this race. He has already been replaced this session by Vicente Perez.
The fastest in the wet was David Alonso (CFMoto Aspar), who lapped in 1:56.619 and who preceded his team-mate Joel Esteban, Angel Piqueras and Adrian Fernandez (Honda Leopard riders), our Matteo Bertelle (Honda Snipers), the Red Bull rookie Ajo Xabi Zurutuza, Scott Ogden (Honda MLav Racing), Noah Dettwiler (KTM CIP), Luca Lunetta (Honda SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Stefano Nepa (KTM MTA), who closes the Top Ten.
The first 14 riders who directly access Q2 remain unchanged with the times recorded yesterday, in order: Alonso, Roulstone, Veijer, Holgado, Almansa, Kelso, Ortolà, Rossi, Munoz, Nepa, Suzuki, Yamanaka, Esteba and Ogden.
