MotoGP Gp Misano Race – Andrea Dovizioso won the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix, a race held at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, the thirteenth round of the 2018 MotoGP.

The Ducati rider thus achieved his third success of the season and gave the "Red" from Borgo Panigale their sixth success of the season, which could have been a double if Jorge Lorenzo had not crashed on the penultimate lap while in battle with Marc Marquez. Marc Marquez and Cal Crutchlow then climbed onto the podium, both on Honda, the former from Team Repsol, the latter from Team LCR.

Returning to Dovizioso, this is his eleventh victory in MotoGP (twentieth in his career), a victory that came with a great show of strength, right in front of the home crowd.

Once the Forlì native took command of the operations, he never relinquished it until just before the checkered flag, while behind the Spaniards Lorenzo and Marquez gave each other a thorough beating, but always within the limits of fairness.

A race to forget for the Yamahas, however, with Rossi only seventh and never in contention for the top positions and Vinales fifth, but also very far from the top (+16.016). Between the two was Dani Pedrosa, sixth, while Andrea Iannone finished eighth, ahead of Alvaro Bautista and Johann Zarco.

Alex Rins' race was excellent, taking Suzuki to fourth place. However, the world ranking continues to smile on Marc Marquez, who still leads the championship with 211 points against Dovizioso's 154, who with this victory overtakes Rossi, now third at 151.

A day to remember therefore for the Italian colours, who were at full strength given the successes of Lorenzo Dalla Porta in Moto3 and Francesco Bagnaia in Moto2. The last time it happened last year, when Andrea Migno (Moto3), Mattia Pasini (Moto2) and Andrea Dovizioso (MotoGP) won at Mugello.

Well done to Dovizioso for benefiting from the brawl behind him to make himself almost uncatchable and well done to Marc who had a great race today too...it pisses me off that Jorge fell because he would have recovered another 4 points from Marquez but he did well not to settle and try to win all the way, I think that if he hadn't been overtaken by Marquez he wouldn't have lost contact with Dovi but it's gone now, he still gave driving lessons today too... that overtaking on Marquez was incredible

Lorenzo today is Marquez in yesterday's qualifying they gave us moments of motorcycling at the highest level, I think there is nothing left to say about the clown now, Yamaha has gone bankrupt in his hands, he can close the business

I think that today Dovizioso would have won with and without a brawl between Marquez and Lorenzo, when Marc attacked Lorenzo, Dovizioso already had a guard on the 2. However, an amazing race, both from Dovizioso who left behind 2 very champions of their caliber, and from Lorenzo who gave us an incredible overtaking move on Marc, especially if seen on board. It's a shame about the crash, he deserved second place, net of the 4 more points that Dovizioso could have had. Great race from Marc, but for him it's normal, he's always at the top, he's great. Crutchlow also had a great performance, he shows that he deserves the bike he has. A note on the favorite of many who is contributing to Yamaha's record of consecutive races without victories, Vale not received. Given the test times that seemed good, we are about to hear the new excuse of bad performances. But hadn't they made progress with electronics?

    Great Dovizioso
    Great Lorenzo
    Great Ducati

I didn't understand one thing, why did they say that Lorenzo is mathematically out of the fight for the world championship?? There are 6 races left and he is at -91... it's practically impossible but not mathematically

In fact, it can't be explained, especially coming from people who consider reds fighting for the world championship...hahahaha
