MotoGP | GP Jerez Day 1, Quartararo: “The main problem is in the corners”

MotoGP GP Spain Jerez Yamaha – Fabio Quartararo ended the first day of testing for the Jerez Grand Prix, fourth stage of the 2023 MotoGP, in 20th position.

The French rider faced a very difficult day, during which he was also the victim of a crash without consequences. The Yamaha rider closed the first session with the 14th fastest time, while in the afternoon he was more than a second behind the leader.

“I had difficulties in the corners, just like Álex, and I think we are looking a little too much for the braking zones and we miss a lot in the corners. I tried the hard front, but I immediately locked the front at Turn 7. Then we tried something with the soft tyres, but it didn't go very well. Then, in the last time attack, we made some mistakes. But, in any case, the main problem is cornering, and it is precisely this thing that complicates our life. I want to check last year's data, thoroughly check what the difference is and then make a plan from there.”
