Ottimo Manzi su MV Agusta sesto, anche Marini in top ten
Moto2 Gp Giappone Motegi Prove Libere 1 – Brad Binder si aggiudica la prima sessione di libere del Gran Premio del Giappone classe Moto2, sedicesima tappa del Motomondiale 2019.
Il pilota del team KTM Ajo ha fermato il cronometro sul 1:51.055 precedendo per 0.052s Tetsuta Nagashima e per 0.288 il leader del mondiale Alex Marquez (Marc VDS).
Quarto tempo per il rookie Jorge Maritn che, con la KTM del team Ajo, precede Remy Gardner e un sorprendente Stefano Manzi in sella alla MV Agusta del team Forward. Settimo crono per Tom Luthi che precede Luca Marini (Sky Racing Team VR46) e Somkiat Chantra. Iker Lecuona completa la top ten.
Fuori dai dieci per pochi millesimi Nicolò Bulega (Sky Racing Team VR46) che chiude 12esimo, precedendo Lorenzo Baldassarri (FlexBox HP40), 13esimo, autore di una scivolata fortunatamente senza conseguenze. Dopo una prima metà di turno positiva, Mattia Pasini (Tasca Racing) ha chiuso 16esimo precedendo Enea Bastianini (ItalTrans), 28esimo, e Fabio Di Giannantonio (Speed Up), 20esimo. Andrea Locatelli (Italtrans) ha chiuso in 23esima posizione, mentre Marco Bezzecchi (Tech3) è 28esimo con caduta, fortunatamente senza conseguenze.
