MotoGP – Valentino Rossi: “I'll be back 100%”
As written in previous news, Valentino Rossi (in the photo during a break in the Valencia tests) last Sunday underwent surgery on his right shoulder, a shoulder injured in April while the Pesaro native was training on a cross bike. The operation planned after the test was successful but the shoulder was in much worse shape than previously thought. Interviewed by "Captain Ventosa" for "Striscia la Notizia" in the presence of Marco Simoncelli, the nine-time world champion commented as follows.
“I have trouble sleeping and I'm quite sick. I feel a lot of pain but it's normal right after the operation, which went well. The shoulder should be 100% back in place even though I now have one arm tied in a sling. Unfortunately it was much worse than we expected but now I have a new shoulder and I can't wait to try it! Some time must pass, we must remain calm and wait. The operation took twice as long as expected. In fact, everything that was thought to be a little damaged (tendons) was actually completely broken. I want to thank my fans for their support and fervent cheering. For February 2011st, the first test of XNUMX, I really hope to be in shape."
