MotoGP – Sepang Test Day 1 – Dani Pedrosa: “It was a good start”

Dani Pedrosa closed the first day of testing in Sepang with the second fastest time. The Repsol Honda Team rider in fact lapped in 2:01.360 immediately behind new team-mate Casey Stoner. Pedrosa worked a lot given that there is some possibility of rain for tomorrow. His physical condition then improved compared to two weeks ago. The word is up to him.

“Today we tried as much as possible, in fact it looks like it could rain tomorrow. In the morning, we focused on some different electronic mapping to improve corner entry and exit and in the afternoon we made some set-up changes on the chassis to improve braking stability. The track temperature was high in the middle of the day and the track was very slippery, but we had a good test and will work on the details tomorrow. Physically I'm better, my shoulder has improved compared to the first test. I had two weeks of rest and I have more strength, so my condition is improving.”
