MotoGP – Preview Estoril – Marco Simoncelli: “With the right feeling I can have a good race”

Marco Simoncelli, after the good race held at Phillip Island, would like to confirm himself in Estoril, the scene of the penultimate stage of the 2010 world championship. The Team Gresini rider, however, would like to do better than the sixth place finish and after the Australian race he was in Japan at Honda to study a new fairing for his RC212V. “After the Phillip Island race I am extremely satisfied but also eager to better certify my positive performance “numerically”. My race in Australia was good but still in sixth place so now I want more to give more consistency to the result. It won't be easy but I want to try together with my team. After Phillip Island, a "prize trip" to Japan for another session in the wind tunnel. Honda tries to "hide" my "oversized" structure in the best possible way, with a new fairing. Once I returned to Italy I started thinking about Estoril, a track that I really like and where last year I won and in 2008 I came second. It's a track on which I can express my riding characteristics and if I find the right feeling with the bike I'm sure I can have a good race.”
