For Toni Elias the Estoril circuit brings back great memories. The Spanish rider, fresh from the Moto2 world title, won on the Portuguese circuit in the MotoGP class after a memorable duel with Valentino Rossi, a duel resolved in favor of Elias by just 2 thousandths. Now this weekend he will try to honor the Moto2 title, something he was unable to do in Australia due to a technical problem. The word is up to him.

“The Phillip Island weekend was difficult because we were affected by a mysterious problem with the electronic management of the gearbox. The Team worked a lot but the problem was also present in the race. A real shame because with the great work they did they had given me a bike with which I had a great feeling but everything was compromised by the difficulty I had in electronically managing the gearbox. At the end of the race I was disappointed but also happy because despite the problem I realized that I had had an excellent race with a beautiful last lap. Sin! I will definitely redeem myself at Estoril, a circuit on which I achieved a fantastic victory, in MotoGP, which will remain in my heart for the rest of my life. After the celebrations that my city of Manresa reserved for me, I want to honor my world title in Portugal in the best possible way. I want to achieve what I couldn't do in Australia and I will try to do it with my usual determination and the support of a Team that is always extraordinary for me."
