GP Austin MotoGP 2024 Yamaha – Alex Rins finished the Sprint Race of the Grand Prix of the Americas, third stage of the 2024 MotoGP, in sixteenth position.

Rins was forced to make up positions starting from last place after going off the track at the second corner. Despite efforts to make up ground with some overtaking, the driver admitted he struggled in the second half of the race. Rins revealed that he felt a lack of support on the front of his bike in the final laps, an issue the team is actively investigating. Determined to overcome this challenge, the driver commits to adapting his driving style to approach the situation differently and overcome such problems in the future.

Statements Alex Rins GP Austin MotoGP 2024

“It was a very difficult sprint, even more so because I was involved in the problem that Marco [Bezzecchi] had at the start. Then, at the second corner, I went off the track with him and I was last. Then I tried to drive alone and recover positions, I made some overtaking. It was difficult. We struggled in the second half of the Sprint race. In the final laps I didn't feel enough support on the front. We're looking into why this is the case. I have to adapt and figure out how to ride in a slightly different way so I don't have these problems.”
