Quartararo discussed the duel with Alex Marquez, revealing that although he was faster in certain areas, he was unable to overtake his opponent in crucial moments.

However, he expressed optimism about the significant changes made to the bike over the weekend and the decision to use a new setup for the Sprint race. This bold approach gave the team the opportunity to experience big changes and gain new perspectives. Although the results do not completely reflect their work, Quartararo underlined the validity of their working method, focused on the exploration of innovative solutions. “Today I was behind Alex Marquez and I was faster in sectors 2 and 3, but he was faster in sectors 1 and 4. Every time I caught him he moved away again, so I wasn't able to overtake him in the last laps. That said, in every run we did this weekend, we experienced some pretty major changes to the bike. Also, for the Sprint race we went out with a bike that we have never used, and I think it's a good thing to be in the position we are in now: we can try big changes. I think the way we are working is good, even if the results don't reflect it. We're trying things we've never done in the past. Tomorrow we will try something new again in the morning and if that gives us new ideas for the race then we will try it. We don't have to be conservative in our current position, and trying different things gives us a sense of direction to work towards, and that gives us positive ideas for the future.”
