MotoGP GP Argentina Cal Crutchlow – Cal Crutchlow, rider of the LCR team, was also present at the press conference preceding the Argentine Grand Prix, the second stage of the 2018 MotoGP.

The Briton finished in fourth position in Qatar, the first driver for a private team. An excellent result that he hopes to repeat at Termas de Rio Hondo, a track that doesn't exactly suit his style but which he likes.

These are the words of Cal Crutchlow: “We did a good job as a team in Qatar, as it has always been a difficult track. We were competitive and I felt good. It's a shame not to have fought for the podium, but Argentina is a track that I like where I did well. Not for any particular reasons, it doesn't suit my style but I felt good about it. The other riders are competitive and about ten can reach the podium.”

The Englishman then commented on some news that came out a few days ago which saw him as the protagonist and according to which he would be the ideal candidate to replace Dani Pedrosa in HRC. Crutchlow toned down the tone: “We must respect the current situation, we are talking about Pedrosa's work. It's his job, and nothing was discussed. My job is to be fast for LCR for them, for the sponsors and for me. It's not good to speculate on other people's work. I saw an article where they said I was aiming for Pedrosa's place, in reality I just said that in my opinion Zarco doesn't fit the bike, but nothing else. Let's work to improve."

Number 35 was then asked to explain his comments on doping in MotoGP: “Do I think there is doping in motorcycling? I don't know, there's something in Other Sports. I'm not against other riders, but in my opinion we need to control more in order to approach the races in a more transparent way. If you want to do something it would be correct.”
