MotoGP | Silverstone GP FP3: Miller is fastest, Rossi is seventh
The Australian from Ducati preceded Aleix Espargarò and Jorge Martin
MotoGP GP Silverstone Great Britain Free Practice 3 – Jack Miller was the fastest in the third free practice session of the MotoGP class British Grand Prix, twelfth stage of the 2021 MotoGP championship.
The Ducati rider set the best lap with a time of 1:59.288 and preceded the Aprilia of the excellent Aleix Espargarò by just 98 thousandths.
Third time for Jorge Martin, who aboard the Ducati Pramac is ahead of the Yamaha of the world championship leader Fabio Quartararo and his brand mate Francesco "Pecco" Bagnaia (+ 0.227s).
Pol Espargarò (who slipped at the end of the session without consequences, ed.), is sixth and ahead of a revived Valentino Rossi, who on a technical track and one of his favorites, is just 0.265s from the top and while he was improving at the end of the session, he was stopped by the yellow flag displayed due to a problem with Danilo Petrucci's KTM Tech 3.
The "Doctor" precedes Joan Mir's Suzuki, the KTM of Austrian winner Brad Binder and Marc Marquez, the last rider to enter directly into Q2.
They will have to pass through the Q2 trap, among others: Johann Zarco, Danilo Petrucci, Luca Marini and Enea Bastianini.
