Moto2 | GP Silverstone FP3: Canet sets record, Gardner is second
Fourth and fifth times for Di Giannantonio and Bezzecchi
Moto2 GP Silverstone Great Britain Free Practice 3 – Aron Canet was the fastest at the end of the third and final free practice session of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
The Team Aspar driver took his Boscoscuro ahead of everyone with a time of 2:04.180 (new track record), trailing world championship leader Remy Gardner (Red Bull Ajo) by just 39 thousandths and Jorge Navarro by 0.369s. (Speed Up).
Fourth and fifth times for our Fabio Di Giannantonio (Gresini) and Marco Bezzecchi (Sky Racing Team VR46), followed by Raul Fernandez (Red Bull Ajo), Joe Roberts (Italtrans) and Sam Lowes (Marc VDS). Nicolò Bulega (Gresini) and Marcel Schrotter (Intac GP) close the Top Ten.
Also qualifying directly for Q2 were Augusto Fernandez (Marc VDS), the SAG Team drivers Bo Bendsneyder and Thomas Luthi and Fermin Aldeguer, who races in place of Yari Montella.
They will have to pass through the Q1 trap, among others: Ai Ogura, Albert Arenas, Stefano Manzi, Simone Corsi, Tony Arbolino, Lorenzo Baldassarri, Celestino Vietti and Lorenzo Dalla Porta.
