Moto3 | Gp Austin Test 2: Alonso (record-breaking), precedes Kelso and Ortolà
Matteo Bertelle ninth, is the best of the Italian drivers
Moto3 GP of the Americas Practice 2 – David Alonso (CFMoto) achieved the best time in the “Test 2” session valid for direct access to Q2 of the Moto3 class in Austin.
At COTA, Circuit of the Americas, the Team Aspar rider set the new US track record with a time of 2:14.153, ahead of Joel Kelso (KTM BOE) and Ivan Ortolà (KTM MT Helmets – MSI) by 0.384s. , authors of the same chrono, 2:14.537. Second position goes to Kelso because he got the time before Ortola.
Daniel Holgado riding the Team Tech3 GASGAS finished fourth, ahead of David Munoz (KTM BOE) and the Team Honda Leopard rookie, Angel Piqueras.
Also in the Top Ten are Josè Antonio Rueda (KTM Red Bull Ajo), Tatsuki Suzuki (Husqvarna Intact GP), our Matteo Bertelle (Honda Snipers) and Taiyo Furusato (Honda Team Asia).
Filippo Farioli (Honda SIC2 Squadra Corse), Scott Ogden (Honda Mlav Racing), Collin Veijer (Husqvarna Intact GP) and Stefano Nepa (KTM MTA) also directly access Q58.
All the others including our Nicola Carraro, Luca Lunetta and Riccardo Rossi will have to pass through the Q1 "trap".
