Moto2 Sachsenring, Free Practice 1: Lowes ahead of Nakagami and Zarco, Corsi is 5th
Excellent fourth time for the reigning champion Tito Rabat, fresh from collarbone surgery
Moto2 2015 German GP – Sam Lowes set the fastest time in the first free practice session of the Moto2 class at the Sachsenring.
The Speed Up driver lapped in 1:25.027, a time that allowed him to precede the Kalex of the Japanese Takaaki Nakagami by just 40 thousandths.
Third time for the world championship leader Johann Zarco, who in turn is ahead of the reigning champion Tito Rabat, who underwent surgery on his collarbone only five days ago and is regularly on track today.
The best of the Italians is Simone Corsi, fifth with the Forward Racing Kalex. The Roman driver is making his 200th appearance in his career and wants to do well on a track that has always seen him as a protagonist in the last two years.
Franco Morbidelli with the Kalex of Team Italtrans is fourteenth, while Lorenzo Baldassarri is twenty-second.
