Casey Stoner: “I think the RC212V will perform well at Assen too”

This weekend the Repsol Honda Team heads to Holland to compete in the Dutch TT, the seventh round of the Championship, with Casey Stoner leading the World Ranking, Andrea Dovizioso third and Dani Pedrosa, currently in fifth position after missing the last two grands prix , who is doing his best for his recovery but will hardly be able to be ready for this weekend.

Casey Stoner, leading the championship with 4 wins out of 6 races, is experiencing a period of splendid form. The Australian driver will try to repeat himself at Assen, a track that has seen him on the podium every year since 2007.

“Silverstone was a very challenging weekend and a very difficult race. It was fantastic to achieve the third consecutive victory and take the lead in the Championship. I can't wait to race in Assen, it's an interesting track, the first part is a bit slow and doesn't tell me much, while the second is really fun. I believe that the RC212V will express itself well on this track too, as it has on all the other circuits this season. We will work to find the right set up, and we will continue to do our best in every race. I'm very sorry for Dani, he had to undergo a new operation, he doesn't deserve such bad luck and I hope he gets better soon."
