USA Superbike: Superpole in Guintoli
The Aprilia rider took the checkered flag
The Laguna Seca Superpole went to Sylvain Guintoli. The Frenchman from Aprilia managed to overtake the man of Saturday afternoon by just fifteen thousandths of a second Tom Sykes, who with a couple of minutes to go preferred to return to the pits, probably convinced that he had first place in his pocket.
Behind his back Eugene Laverty, fell in the final stages and Niccolò Canepa, truly remarkable with the Ducati Alstare.
Quinto Chaz Davies with the first of the BMWs, preceding the RSV4 Althea of David Giugliano and the S1000 RR of Marco Melandri, appeared quite colorless.
Eighth time for Jules cluzel on Suzuki, in front of a Ayrton Badovini still not at the top physically and to the two American wild-cards Roger Lee Hayden e Danny Eslick.
Back the two Honda Pata's Leon Haslam e Michelle Fabrizio, these eliminated immediately in the first phase, followed by Kawasaki's Mark Aitchison and the Aprilia Red Devils of Toni Elias, strangely only fifteenth.
