The Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team also carried out a two-day test this week at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, which in two weeks will host the seventh round of the production-derived World Championship, concentrating the work above all on the set-up of the Yamaha YZFs -R1.

Fresh from his first podium of the year, achieved on his home track of Donington Park, alex lowes he focused a lot on the electronics, making good progress: “The test was very positive for me and my team. We worked a lot and found a couple of improvements, which are really good. We have taken a clear direction with electronics which I think will help us a lot. Overall, it was a positive test and I would like to thank the whole team very much, it was a very busy week for them and I appreciated the hard work, especially with the great heat of these days."

Even the teammate Michael Van der Mark, who narrowly missed out on the podium at Donington, worked hard completing more than 100 laps aimed at increasing his feeling with the bike: “It was a really good test. The weather was incredible, and we worked a lot. I did 118 laps yesterday working on some new suspension and electronics upgrades. Yesterday I felt very strong and I was faster all day, in fact my last lap was my fastest. Today we continued to work on setting up the bike and I am really satisfied with the work done during this test, as not only were we faster, but we also improved the feeling with the bike which makes it easier for me to ride. I can't wait to show what we've achieved so far in the Misano round!”
