Team Pedercini is pleased to announce that the rider who will take the Italian team's new Kawasaki ZX 10R onto the track in the 2011 Superbike championship will be Roberto Rolfo. The thirty-year-old Italian rider who will be part of the Volta Mantovana team comes from Moto2 where he managed to achieve a victory in Sepang in Malaysia and a third place at the Sachsenring in Germany. Roberto Rolfo's career in the world championships began in 1996 when he took part in the 250 world championship race on the Mugello circuit. Roberto raced in 250 for seven years, collecting 18 podiums and second place in the 2003 championship. In 2005 he moved to MotoGP and the following year he made his debut in Superbike. Roberto raced in the series-derived championship for three years. In 2006 with the Ducati SC Caracchi team, in 2007 with the Hannspree Honda Ten Kate team and the following year with the Hannspree Honda Althea team.

In 2009 he started the season with the Stiggy Honda team but after only two races they had to replace him due to financial problems. Team Pedercini has also decided who will be the riders of the team that will participate in the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup. They will be Marco Bussolotti, Leandro Mercado and Bryan Staring. The twenty-year-old Italian Marco Bussolotti was twice vice champion of the Stock 600 and last year was the victim of some physical problems following his fall on the Brno circuit. Now he has completely recovered and is ready to return to the track. Argentinian Leandro Mercado, winner of the AMA Supersport championship in 2009, was one of last season's revelations in Stock 600 and is very determined to demonstrate his full potential. Finally, 2010-year-old Bryan Staring is the 125 Australian Superbike champion and was the only rider from his country to win the 600, XNUMX and Superbike championships. For next year he has great ambitions and hopes to repeat the exploits of the Australian riders who preceded him in Superbike.

Roberto Rolfo: ”I'm really very happy to be able to return to Superbike. I have not forgotten the three years I spent in this fascinating and difficult category and now I will do my best to achieve even better results than I achieved previously. I liked the Pedercini family immediately, from our first meeting. They are sincere and honest people, but also very professional and when it comes to our ambitions for next year we are right on the same page. I decided to leave Moto2 also because I'm anxious to get on my new Kawasaki ZX10R and take advantage of all its great power. It's nice to still be in Superbike and I'm determined to do well next year. I hope to be able to test my new bike as soon as possible also because it will be the first time ever that I will get on a Kawasaki."
