The 125 2010cc world champion Marc Marquez will contest the 2011 season in the Moto2 category and will always be sponsored by Repsol who will also follow him in this new adventure. The contract has a duration of two years and will be followed by Monlau Competition which will provide him with a Suter. Marquez will be the only rider of the Team and will take to the track tomorrow in Jerez de la Frontera.

Emilio Alzamora, 125 1999 World Champion with Repsol, will be the Team Manager of the team. The chief mechanic will be Santi Hernández, who has experience in Moto2 and also with the old premier class (500cc) and in MotoGP where he worked with riders such as Valentino Rossi and Sete Gibernau. In the new category, Marc Márquez will be surrounded by mechanics, engineers and a telemetry engineer who have experience in the Motorcycle World Championship.

We remember that at the age of just 17 years and 264 days, Marc Márquez became on November 7, 2010, the youngest Spanish rider to win a Motorcycle World Championship. Emilio Alzamora's protégé has broken many other records: last season he obtained four pole positions and five consecutive victories, beating the record held by Valentino Rossi and equaling Mick Doohan's historic achievement.
