Fassi Malaysian Round: after the amazing weekend experienced in Imola, Chaz Davies and Davide Giugliano are ready to face the challenge at the Sepang International Circuit for the sixth round of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship.

Last year there was a great show on the last lap in Race2 with Chaz Davies taking the win over Jonathan Rea, after the Welshman had finished second, behind the Northern Irishman, in Race1.
On that occasion his Panigale R was the only Aruba.it bike on the track, due to Davide Giugliano's injury at Laguna Seca.
The Italian will be regularly on track tomorrow and is determined to improve on the results of Imola, a fifth and fourth place respectively, facing an important test to verify the progressive improvement of the setup and to continue the growth path.

“We are going to Sepang on the basis of two excellent results” – he said Chaz Davies – “In terms of set-up, in the last few races we have found a fairly stable configuration, which allows me to ride very close to the limit without going over it. The bike responds very well to every change, and we usually immediately find the correct solution to improve. We must continue on this path to get even closer to the top of the standings. In Sepang, in 2015 we achieved a victory that I would never have expected on the eve of it. This year the track has been resurfaced and the gradient of several corners has also been changed, so in a certain sense it will be like racing on a new track and there is no shortage of unknowns. After racing in Europe in the spring, it will also be nice to be back in the heat."

“In light of the results in Imola, I believe we have finally made some firm points regarding the setup of the Panigale R” – he added David Giugliano – “We certainly don't have to claim victory because there is still a gap to make up, but above all in Race 2 I managed to race as I wanted, without any particular problems and with good feedback from the bike. From lap seven onwards I was strong, but we lost too much in the early stages and we need to improve in this aspect. It surprises me a bit, because historically I suffered in the second part of the race, while this year the trend seems to have reversed. Unfortunately I only raced in Sepang in 2014, but the fact that the track has been resurfaced makes it a bit of a novelty for everyone. Let's start with a positive mentality, we must continue to work methodically on our base without getting caught up in a hurry."
