Superbike Magny-Cours, FP1: Chaz Davies imposes his pace

Superbike, Fassi French Round, Free Practice 1. Chaz Davies gets off to a great start to the weekend of the eleventh round of the championship by dominating the first free practice session on the Magny Cours circuit, ahead of Jonathan Rea, trailing by just 40 thousandths, and Xavi Fores.
In fourth position we find Tom Sykes, followed by Alex Lowes who seems to have recovered from the injury that forced him to miss the MotoGP race in Aragon.
Leon Camier showed good pace and finished with the sixth best time, ahead of Markus Reiterberger.
The host Sylvain Guintoli finished the session in eighth place, a result that he will try to improve in the second free practice session in front of his fans.
Jordi Torres achieved the ninth time with Nicky Hayden, on a track previously unknown to him, who closes the top ten.
Outside the top ten, by more than two tenths, is Davide Giugliano who will have to improve if he wants to directly qualify for the second round of Tissot-Superpole.
Next appointment at 13.30pm with the second free practice session.
