Superbike, Pirelli German Round, Race 1. The first race of the tenth round of the season at the EuroSpeedWay Lausitzring offered great emotions and duels, one of the protagonists was certainly Nicky Hayden, author of a truly exciting second part of the race, in which he gave everything to get the better of Tom Sykes.

The third step of the podium, obtained starting from the third spot on the grid after the Tissot-Superpole, does not satisfy the American at all, who admits that it didn't "all go smoothly": "They pushed me a bit at the first corner and I had to go wide and lose ground” – he said Nicky Hayden – “I really wanted to beat Tom, I saw the fans and thought I'd let them have fun, so I tried to push while I was behind him.”

Hayden also spoke about the rumors that he would like to join the MotoGP at Aragon, replacing Jack Miller, who is injured.
“The opportunity is there, there are a couple of things to work on. If it happens it will be fun to go to MotoGP again. We will see. Now I remain focused on giving my all at the Lausitzring and in WorldSBK, this is my home now."
