Superbike Germany: Sykes wins in Race 1

Both transported to the medical center, the Irishman was diagnosed with a fractured femur and a cervical trauma for the tall Englishman.
BMW's Macio therefore had to keep second place and managed to overtake his fellow rider Chaz Davies, only briefly ahead of the Italian.
Fourth was Sylvain Guintoli on Aprilia and still leader of the standings, ahead of two other bikes from Noale, that of Davide Giugliano's Althea team and Michel Fabrizio's Red Devils.
Leon Haslam's CBR1000 was seventh followed by Jules Cluzel's Suzuki Fixi Crescent and Ayrton Badovini's Ducati Alstare, who as one might imagine was unable to take advantage of the pole position from which he started and that of Carlos Checa.
Finally, the first heat to forget for Eugene Laverty who fell after a few laps and still returned to the track to finish last and two laps behind.
