Superbike, Monza: Davide Giugliano “It was right to stop race 2 when the rain came”

David Giugliano, he dreamed, after the rain that fell on the track yesterday, of a different Sunday in Monza, a track where on Friday he was in great difficulty in the dry. In the end, the few laps completed went quite well and the Team Althea driver even managed to collect some points.

“Today has been a long day – Giugliano said – The few laps we did in race 2 went well from my point of view. I started quite well, I started to gain confidence with the track, with the conditions, and I managed to stay close to those in front. I was certainly hoping to do more this weekend but, due to the very particular weather conditions, unfortunately it wasn't possible. CHowever, I agreed with Race Direction that it was necessary to at least try to race – we did it and then the pouring rain came. Anyway, let's get some points and start preparing for Donington.”
