Superbike Silverstone: Sykes ahead of everyone in the first qualifying sessions too
Camier confirms himself among the fastest
Even in the first qualifying session Tom Sykes demonstrated that he has wings, leading the Englishman Leon Camier on the Suzuki GSX-R1000 by almost a second, who confirms himself at the top on this track.
Davide Giugliano did well, third, on the Aprilia Althea, ahead of the two Honda Patas of Rea and Haslam, who were decidedly more at ease than in the morning.
Sixth place for the first official Aprilia RSV4, that of Laverty, which overtakes Loris Baz's Kawasaki ZX-10R and Marco Melandri's BMW S1000 RR.
World championship leader Sylvain Gunitoli was only ninth, with French Cluzel's Suzuki tenth.
The Ducati Alstares of Ayrton Badovini remained colorless, eleventh and Carlos Checa, only fourteenth, just one position ahead of Michel Fabrizio who in free practice had appeared capable of staying with the leaders.
