Second consecutive world championship for the Spanish driver
SBK GP Jerez Race 1 – Alvaro Bautista wins Race 1 of the Spanish Grand Prix, twelfth stage of the 2023 World Championship.
The Ducati team rider, starting from pole, dominated from the first corner. Razgatlıoğlu, who started later, made a good comeback and tried to catch up on the Spaniard, but without success. The Turk had to settle for second position. With this order of arrival, Alvaro Bautista won his second consecutive world title. On the podium, after a good comeback, Andrea Locatelli.
Jonathan Rea closes in fourth place, ahead of Danilo Petrucci, author of a great comeback, and Phillip Oettl. Seventh place for Alex Lowes ahead of Michael Rinaldi, sanctioned with a long lap penalty after a contact that put Axel Bassani out of the race. Iker Lecuona and Xavi Vierge complete the top ten.
Lorenzo Baldassarri finishes outside the ten in twelfth position.
