SBK | Geico US Round, FP2: Rea outdoes himself

In the second free practice session of the Geico US Round at Laguna Seca, Jonathan Rea not only confirmed himself in the lead but thanks to an unattainable '23"104 he improved his own track record, recorded in race 2 a year ago, by a tenth.

It was a session marked by accidents: Roman Ramos and Jake Gagne whose crash at the Corkscrew led Race Direction to stop the session, Loriz Baz and Marco Melandri who also fell victim to the famous curve and did not improve their morning reference.
However, it was enough for the Ducati rider to keep Tom Sykes, Alex Lowes and Eugene Laverty behind him.

So far Chaz Davies has been missing, only seventh with a 1'23"894, also behind Torres, with an MV Agusta that manages to come out on tracks driven like this.
Steps forward for Lorenzo Savadori who climbs to ninth position ahead of Michael van der Mark.
