At the last round of the world championship, the YZF-R1 of the Pata Crescent Yamaha team made a strong impression on the flying lap, managing to put both its riders, Guintoli and Lowes, on the front row at the end of the Tissot-Superpole.

This excellent performance in qualifying was not followed by equally positive results in the race: it is clear that the objective set by the team for the Prosecco DOC Dutch Round, scheduled for this weekend in Assen, is to materialize the qualifying performances in the two races and tests.

Sylvain Guintoli has good memories of the TT Circuit, having achieved two wins and two podiums here in previous years, while for Lowes Assen was the scene of his first WorldSBK podium.

The TT Circuit Assen is located in the north-east, about 170 km from Amsterdam, and is a favorite of drivers and enthusiasts.
The layout of the track is characterized by 17 corners with medium length straights and a splendid final chicane, a point for overtaking and memorable challenges.
The Prosecco DOC Dutch Round races will take place on Saturday and Sunday at 14pm, lasting 00 laps.

“In Aragón we took a step forward with the YZF-R1” – he said Sylvain Guintoli – “We demonstrated this in the Superpole where I guaranteed myself the second place on the starting grid with a lap faster than the track record and in Race1 I managed to stay with the leading group for a couple of laps and set the lap times They were good. Consistency and tire management will be our priority at Assen, a track that I really like and where I have achieved good results in the past. I can't wait for the weekend."

“Assen is a track where it's a lot of fun to drive!” - he has declared alex lowes – “I am optimistic that he will adapt to Yamaha, so that we can start getting the results we deserve! Everything has improved over the last few races, my team and I have understood the YZF-R better. I'm really hoping for a good weekend and good performances in the races, where we can fight much more closely with the leading group."
