MotoGP | Sepang Test Day 2: A.Espargarò, “I'm happy with this first test of mine”

MotoGP 2022 Sepang Aprilia Test – The two days of testing in Sepang for the Aprilia team ends in the best possible way. After the good performances shown yesterday, Aleix Espargarò and Maverick Vinales confirmed themselves in the top positions of the ranking today too, collecting important data and indications that give hope for the next three days of testing which will take place in Indonesia, in a week.

“I have to say that the guys in Noale, Albesiano and all the engineers did a good job. From the first time I got on it, during a photo shoot, I realized how slim and compact the new RS-GP is, and I know how difficult it is to achieve this result. The ergonomics, the frame and all the new features make it extremely more agile, allowing me greater mileage especially in fast corners. However, we must always consider that this is the first test and that we are all extremely close, the level of the current MotoGP is incredible. Let's continue the work, I can't wait to ride on the new Mandalika circuit too."

“I'm happy with this first test, I felt much more comfortable on the bike. I was especially surprised by the race pace, with used tyres, while on the flying lap I still can't exploit the full potential of the bike. When you look for the limit, and in modern MotoGP you have to do it often, the feeling must be more than perfect while I still make some mistakes. I have to get used to the behavior of this bike when you're looking for maximum performance, it's a process we're working on."
