MotoGP | Jerez Test Day 2: Morbidelli, “With the wind I can't ride as I would like, I'm not at 100%”
"Rehabilitation will be my main work this winter" added the Italian-Brazilian
MotoGP Test Jerez Day 2 Yamaha Monster – Franco Morbidelli closed the second and final day of IRTA testing at the Jerez circuit with the 15th time.
Although the strong wind made life difficult for the Italian-Brazilian, not yet 100% after his knee injury, he held firm, covering 30 laps in total. Without making a time-attack, he set a 1'38.100 on lap five which kept him in 15th place in the Day 2 standings, 1.228 seconds off today's best time. However, his 1'37.884 lap from Day 1 earned him 12th place in the overall Jerez test standings, 1.012 seconds off the top.
Statements Franco Morbidelli Test Jerez Day 2 Yamaha Monster
“It was a difficult second day due to the wind. I couldn't drive properly because of this. I already struggle to ride in normal situations, and with the wind I struggled even more. So we didn't do many laps, but still we completed the program. We tried everything we needed to try. Rehab will be my main job this winter. I'll try to regain full mobility in my knee, so let's see if I can do that.”
