MotoGP Sachsenring, Free Practice 3: Marquez confirms his lead, Rossi 3rd ahead of Dovizioso

MotoGP 2015 German GP FP3 – Marc Marquez, after dominating the first day of free practice for the German Grand Prix, also took part in Free Practice 3 on the Sachsenring circuit, the scene of the ninth stage and the halfway point of the 2015 motorcycle championship.

The reigning Honda champion stopped the clock at a time of 1:21.083, preceding the Yamaha of Majorcan Jorge Lorenzo by 0.138s, who in turn is ahead of team-mate Valentino Rossi, 0.191s behind Marquez.

Andrea Dovizioso, after risking being left out of the ten, achieved the fourth fastest time with a time of 1:21.562. The Ducati rider from Forlì is ahead of the Yamaha of Briton Bradley Smith and the Honda of Dani Pedrosa, sixth, just over half a second behind team-mate Marc Marquez.

Seventh time for the Suzuki of Aleix Espargarò, who crashed at the beginning of the session without physical consequences. The Spaniard then continued to ride without problems.

Cal Crutchlow, who follows the Spaniard on the time list, also crashed. The Team LCR rider is in front of Andrea Iannone's Ducati, on the track with new fins and air intakes on his Desmosedici GP15.

Out of the ten are Maverick Vinales, Scott Redding, Yonny Hernandez and Danilo Petrucci, who will have to fight for access to Q2 in Q1.
