Moto2 Sachsenring, Free Practice 3: Morbidelli ahead of Zarco and Rabat
The Team Italtrans driver set the best time with a time of 1:24.336
Moto2 2015 German GP Free Practice 3 – Franco Morbidelli achieved the best time in the third and final free practice session of the Moto2 class at the Sachsenring, scene of the German Grand Prix.
The Team Italtrans driver, who is also part of the VR46 Academy, stopped the clock at a time of 1:24.336, preceding the world championship leader Johann Zarco by 0.223s.
Third time for the reigning champion Esteve Rabat, fresh from collarbone surgery, injured while training in Spain on the Almeria circuit. The Team Marc VDS driver is ahead of the Belgian Xavier Simeon and the Roman Simone Corsi (who celebrates 200 starts here), 0.551s off the top.
The Finn Mika Kallio follows him, with the second Kalex of Team Italtrans. Seventh for the Malaysian Syahrin, who precedes the Spaniard Julian Simon and the Swiss Randy Krummenacher and Thomas Luthi.
Lorenzo Baldassarri, Simone Corsi's team-mate in Forward Racing closed the session in eleventh position, while Alex Marquez, 2014 Moto3 world champion, was twenty-first. For him it was also a fall without consequences.
