Andrea Iannone MotoGP 2015 Ducati GP Germany – Andrea Iannone achieved the third best time on the first day of testing for the German Grand Prix, ninth stage and turning point of the 2015 world championship. The Ducati rider said he was satisfied with the time obtained on the soft tyre, but not with the pace shown.

Andrea, tell us how this first day of testing went.

“I am satisfied with the single lap performance on the soft tyre. We achieved a good result, but we should confirm the performance also with the hard tire and we still haven't been able to understand if we could be fast with that too. I thought I could go faster here but we are having some difficulties. In the afternoon by changing something about the setting we improved, we hope to be able to confirm it tomorrow too and be closer to the leaders."

Where do you lose compared to your opponents?

“I lose a lot in T2, in all those left turns where you have to lean a lot. There we are losing a lot compared to the others. The soft tire helped us a lot in that specific “T” but we struggle with the hard one.”

Could soft be an option for the race?

“I would say no, I don't think it can be used.”

You've had some difficulties in these last races, do you think the GP15 will always remain competitive?

“I remain of this opinion, I believe that the GP15 is a very competitive bike and that very little is needed to return to fighting for the top. We are suffering on some tracks, but as mentioned I am happy with the bike we have available."
