He ended the Losail weekend with a miserable 17th place, thanks to the front problems which forced him to make an additional pit stop. For Chris Vermeulen, more than anyone else, Jerez is perfect to seek immediate redemption, with the aim of collecting the first important points of this season. The former Supersport world champion is convinced that everyone in Suzuki is ready to raise their heads again, trying to get closer to the leaders and thus envisage an at least decent season, on the same level as last year.

“We must absolutely try to put the bad weekend in Losail behind us and think about Jerez”, says Chris Vermeulen. “I like the track, it's fun to race here, there's always a large, very warm crowd and you can really feel it on the track! In the winter tests we had some developments and we went better, so the objective is to repeat ourselves and try to obtain a good result".

In Jerez Chris Vermeulen recently achieved a 12th (2006) and 9th (2007) place. The objective is certainly to do better, raising Suzuki's prices for this season.
