MotoGP – Preview Jerez – Pedrosa: "I will be 100%"

He plays at home, on a track where he has achieved mixed results: badly in 125cc, victorious in 250 and always on the podium in MotoGP. Jerez evokes some wonderful results for Daniel Pedrosa, with the intention of continuing the positive streak that began in 2005, with a victory and two second places between 250 and MotoGP. This is why the Catalan rider is confident thinking about this weekend, where he will be at 100% of his physical fitness and will be able to count on a '212 Honda RC08V which showed decent speed qualities at Losail.

“I'm training to get back to full physical condition: my right hand doesn't hurt so much anymore, so I'm convinced that I'll be at 100% in Jerez”, says the Catalan driver. “It's a very important race for me, where I've always had fun. The crowd and the atmosphere are exceptional here, there is always a large crowd and in the corners Nieto and Peluqui are very close, you can distinguish the spectators present one by one. If we want the problem comes to the paddock, where there is a lot of enthusiasts and it is difficult to do your job and concentrate. As for the track, I really like it, especially the Pons corner. The last stretch is the most important: to go fast in terms of timing, it is crucial to go fast in this sector. The track is safe but there are improvements to be made, there are a few bumps too many, but on the other hand there is good grip. Here the maximum speed doesn't matter much, but having a balanced chassis and a compromise set-up that allows you to go fast in corners, braking and cornering. We need to ride aggressively in Jerez".

At Jerez Daniel Pedrosa won in 2005 in 250cc, and then finished second on his debut in MotoGP the following season, a result he managed to repeat last year. Will he aim for victory?
