MotoGP – Preview Jerez – Capirossi: "We learned our lesson at Losail"

At Losail Loris Capirossi limited the damage, with an eighth place which saved Suzuki's balance sheet. The real championship for the Imola native will thus begin next week in Jerez, with the second round of the season on a particularly favorable track, reminding us of the 2006 victory with Ducati. Loris is convinced of Suzuki's potential and is still betting on this project, so much so that he embarks on an ambitious plan: aiming for the podium in Andalusia...

“Qatar was certainly not our best race, but we learned some details that will serve as lessons for the rest of the championship”, says Loris Capirossi. “Unfortunately in Jerez during the winter tests the weather didn't help us, and so we have few references. However, I am convinced of our potential and the possibility of being able to do well, why not, aim for a podium placement. I trust in Suzuki and in this project, therefore the results will not be long in coming, also because the season has just begun".

We remember that Loris Capirossi won the 2006 Grand Prix here with the Ducati, finishing ahead of the official Hondas of Daniel Pedrosa and Nicky Hayden.
