The MotoGP class riders took to the track in the Phillip Island Warm Up with 26° in the air, 36° on the asphalt and a humidity level of 27%. Once we were ready to go, we immediately began the flag-to-flag simulation, made mandatory for the race given that the Bridgestone tires can't hold more than 14 laps.

The fastest in this maneuver performed at the beginning of the session seems to have been Marc Marquez, who jumped like a cricket from one bike to the other (see photo). However, if this was a dress rehearsal, it didn't go very well. There was a lot of confusion in the pit lane, with the drivers touching each other several times.

The fastest was the world championship leader who stopped the clock at a time of 1:28.905. Behind him, 101 thousandths behind him, we find Jorge Lorenzo, riding the Yamaha Factory. Behind the reigning champion is Sepang winner Dani Pedrosa, who lapped in 1:29.172.

Fourth time for Cal Crutchlow's Yamaha SAT, fifth for Alvaro Bautista's Team Gresini Honda and sixth for our Valentino Rossi, 780 thousandths behind Marquez.

Rounding out the Top Ten are Nicky Hayden's Ducati, the second Yamaha SAT of Bradley Smith's Team Tech 3 and the CRTs of the excellent Colin Edwards and Aleix Espargarò. Followed by Andrea Iannone, Claudio Corti and Andrea Dovizioso. Danilo Petrucci is seventeenth and Luca Scassa nineteenth.
