Moto2 Phillip Island, Warm Up: Rabat ahead of Espargarò and De Angelis
The San Marino rider from Team NGM Mobile is third and ahead of Thomas Luthi
Esteve Rabat achieved the fastest time in the Warm Up of the Moto2 class at Phillip Island. The Spanish centaur of Team Pons (dominant in Malaysia) set a time of 1:32.586, a time 264 thousandths better than that set by the poleman and his team-mate Pol Espargarò.
Excellent third time for Alex de Angelis, riding the Speed Up of Team NGM Mobile. The San Marino driver who lapped in 1:32.944 precedes the Swiss Thomas Luthi, the Finnish Mika Kallio and his teammates Simone Corsi and Mattia Pasini.
Three Spaniards close the Top Ten, in order Jordi Torres, Julian Simon and Nico Terol. Eleventh time for the 2 Moto12 world champion Sandro Cortese, who preceded the Frenchman of the Came Iodaracing Team Johann Zarco.
We remind you that Scott Redding, the current world championship leader, did not take to the track after having broken his left wrist in a fall yesterday in qualifying. He will miss this Grand Prix and most likely also next week's at Motegi. Forfeit also for Thitipong Warokorn, Team Gresini rider, who suffered a problem with his right shoulder blade in a fall similar to that of Redding in qualifying.
