MotoGP – Phillip Island Day 1 – Physical problems affect Lorenzo
On the first day of testing at Phillip Island Jorge Lorenzo only achieved the sixth best time due to some physical problems that affected him. The Spanish rider of the Fiat Yamaha Team, 18 points behind Valentino Rossi in the general classification, was thus unable to achieve a good performance, also crashing at the end of the session: for tomorrow his hope is to improve to conquer pole position.
"I couldn't go fast today. I wasn't feeling too good, I think I ate something last night which made me feel weak today and made it difficult to ride my bike. We also had some problems, there wasn't enough grip and confidence, before the fall I risked slipping twice. Luckily I wasn't hurt and now I'll just rest tonight and then hope to be better tomorrow. "
