MotoGP Motegi: Jorge Lorenzo “I hope to repeat last year's victory”

Jorge Lorenzo achieved his first victory of 2014 in Aragon. The four-time world champion (two in 250cc and two in MotoGP) had not done anything since the Grand Prix of the Valencian Community which took place almost a year ago and the victory reassured him. Now comes the first of three non-European trips to Japan, precisely to the Twin Ring, a track where last year he won ahead of the two Hondas. The word is up to him.

“First of all I would like to say that it was a fantastic feeling to win at home in Aragon. We were able to manage a difficult race and achieve the first victory of the 2014 season, something incredible after a disappointing start. We solved a lot of problems over the weekend and did a great job on Sunday with the whole team. Now we are traveling to Japan, a country I love for many reasons. I have great memories of last year, when we surprised everyone by winning at our rival's home ground. Last year we won at Motegi and also achieved victory number 200 for Yamaha ahead of two Hondas. It was amazing! Let's hope we can repeat ourselves with another perfect weekend.”
