MotoGP – Misano – Valentino Rossi: "Today my bike was perfect"

Valentino Rossi's sixth victory is certainly important for the ranking, as well as special: the eight-time world champion rider himself admitted it after the race where he explained why this success moved him.

"How beautiful! It took me a while before I was able to consider Misano as my home GP, because Mugello is special for me. However, I must confess that winning today, in front of a sea of ​​people dressed in yellow and with 46 everywhere, thrilled me: I thank everyone for contributing to this special day. With the tank full I had to proceed with some caution at first and it took me some time to get to the front. Once I did that, my bike was perfect. We didn't expect to be so competitive here, but the weekend was splendid: thanks to the whole team for the great work done. After Indianapolis, and the mistake I made, we remained very focused, and today's result is a reward for everyone. I was a “donkey that flew” today. The break that awaits us suits me well, arriving at it with these images in my mind and the points advantage in the standings. Indy, however, taught us that changes can be sudden; let's keep maximum concentration for Estoril.”
