Valentino Rossi was the author of a great race today in Misano, theater of the San Marino Grand Prix and the Rimini Riviera. The nine-time Ducati world champion took the second step of the podium after riding with a pace second only to that of the winner, Jorge Lorenzo, who preceded him by a few seconds. The word is up to him.

“It was a very nice race, I'm very happy. A great result, which I want to dedicate to Sic and to his family, Paolo, Rossella and Martina. I would also like to thank all the guys who work with me and everyone at Ducati Corse who are doing their best like me: it was needed after two such difficult years. I'm very happy because it was a high level race, in the dry, always with a fast pace and with, in the end, a limited gap to Lorenzo. We worked well, the new frame and the new swingarm allow us to make more changes to the geometry and here, in fact, the feeling on the front was greater and the bike seemed more balanced even during acceleration. The set-up we found was also good, I managed to go fast consistently throughout the race. It will be important to continue working well and doing our best to take Ducati as high as possible in the next races too."

      Hi Lyon,
I replied to you in yesterday's post-race thread in which you wrote to me.

I appreciate your message posted here.

Unfortunately, we remain saddened by the fact that here, on this forum, before the Misano race, the journalist inserted a thread:
      http://motograndprix.motorionline.com/2012/09/12/motogp-a-misano-nel-nome-del-sic/
in which NO ONE thought to post a miserable thought for poor Marco, but not out of forgetfulness, but only because - perhaps - a war of all against all based on insults, lies, and... stupidity was more "interesting".

        @W_il_Sic

Hi, why would I ever say hello to you?

There have never been any disagreements between us and we have always respected each other and exchanged opinions.

I hadn't noticed the article on Sic, I'd be sooner on Motograndprix otherwise I would have left a message.

I'll go right away to say hello. ;-) ;-)

        Imagine Lyon!
Obviously it's all too easy to understand that my note about the lack of attention on the Sic thread was NOT about you, but you never know... better to clarify.
I just wanted to say that those were fiery days in which they had lost their excitement a bit...

You can't help but like a Valentino like this

Hats off to Rossi but Lorenzo took a walk yesterday...

  • Finally a race with balls from VR, the bike certainly didn't improve overnight: the champion's pride kicked in and he gave it his all from the first to the last lap.
Let's hope it continues like this, this is the Rossi we expect! The criticism comes when he runs way below his potential.
The dedication to the Sic family was very positive, even if when he told Beltramo in the heat of the moment to dedicate the victory to Uccio (?!?!?!?!?!) I jumped on the sofa

    1. W_il_Sic said:

He didn't say he was dedicating the victory to Uccio at all!!!!

The interview is on Sportmediaset streaming, you can watch it 100 times and in none of the 100 times will it be rubbish like this!
Instead he reported that Uccio had diagnosed him with second row and podium on Saturday, and he replied "Uccio, what the hell are you talking about?"...

      1. it's true, I checked and I remembered wrong.

No problem, the important thing is to realize it…
