MotoGP – Misano – Alex De Angelis sorry for the mistake

Alex De Angelis' home Grand Prix on the Misano Adriatico circuit lasted just a few metres. The San Carlo Honda Gresini rider from San Marino triggered a carambola at the start which also involved Colin Edwards and Nicky Hayden, all of whom crashed at the first corner. De Angelis' disappointment is therefore understandable as he will try to make up for it on the Estoril circuit

“Unfortunately, after a good start, I arrived too “long” inside the second turn. I found Colin significantly slower in front of me and I braked violently, unfortunately I lost control of the bike when I hit him. Unfortunately, Colin also involved Nicky in the carom and now I can't help but apologize to both of them. I'm sorry, it's true these things happen in racing but this was my home race and there were many people who expected a good result from me and I disappointed them. If I think about it then I feel even more bitter because we had the potential to have a great race and obtain another positive result. However, we will try to recover in Estoril and try to continue reaping the benefits of the progress made recently."
