MotoGP Le Mans, QP: Vinales makes the Bugatti circuit his, Rossi 2nd

GP Le Mans MotoGP Qualifying – Qualifying session under the sun at the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans.

Big names competed in Q1, including: Andrea Dovizioso, Jorge Lorenzo, Andrea Iannone, Danilo Petrucci and Dani Pedrosa. With only 2 seats available to get through, the session heated up very quickly.

In a waltz of fast laps, Andrea Dovizioso and Johann Zarco go through. In the final, the French driver outwitted Dani Pedrosa who will start from 13th place tomorrow ahead of Alvaro Bautista and Jonas Folger. Jorge Lorenzo is in difficulty and will start from the sixth row together with Andrea Iannone and Aleix Espargarò. Danilo Petrucci finished 19th fastest, followed by Hector Barbera and Sam Lowes. Tito Rabat and Sylvain Guintoli close the lineup.

In Q2 things don't change, despite the numerous big names excluded from Q1, the fight for pole is hot. In the end, it was Maverick Vinales who won the best performance, stopping the centromere at 1:34.994.

In second position Valentino Rossi, preceding the home idol Johann Zarco; which completes an all-Yamaha front row. Cal Crutchlow opens the second row, first Honda on the grid, followed by Marc Marquez and Andrea Dovizioso. In the third row Scott Redding followed by the incredible KTM of Pol Espargarò. Karel Abraham and Bradley Smith complete the top ten.
