The third and final free practice session for the MotoGP class on the Jerez de la Frontera track has just ended. The watchword this morning is once again Honda. Dani Pedrosa leads the timesheets: despite the arm problems, the Spaniard seems to be able to give his opponents a hard time, first and foremost Casey Stoner. Pedrosa, who took to the track for just a few laps, immediately managed to improve his best time from yesterday by as much as 6 tenths. Stoner, after completing a good number of laps, is unable to catch his teammate and therefore follows in second place, 3 tenths behind.

Closing out the Honda trio at the top is Marco Simoncelli. The Italian rider becomes more and more concrete and becomes the third reference bike of these tests: Sic in fact remained at the top of the standings for a good part of the session, only to then close with the third fastest time, almost 5 tenths from the top. Much less positive situation for the other official HRC, that of Andrea Dovizioso: the Italian, in fact, seems to be in difficulty in Jerez, and ends the session in tenth position, with a gap from his teammates of more than second.

The first Ducati in the standings is Randy De Puniet's Desmosedici, once again very consistent during free practice. In fact, the Frenchman achieved the fifth fastest time of the morning, 8 tenths behind Pedrosa. Valentino Rossi follows in sixth position and manages to improve his best time from yesterday by a few tenths. The Doctor, with a time of 1′ 39.822, placed himself about a second from the top. Nicky Hayden's Ducati was less good: the American was 11th with a gap of almost a second and a half.

At Yamaha, Jorge Lorenzo takes the fourth fastest time in the morning session. Por Fuera placed about 8 tenths behind the Honda, demonstrating however that it was fighting for the top positions. Ben Spies was less good: the American finished ninth overall, appearing rather difficult to improve on his times.
