Gp Jerez MotoGP Dovizioso Ducati- Andrea Dovizioso ended the Red Bull Spanish Grand Prix in fifth position, a result that is not entirely negative if you consider the difficulties that Ducati historically has on the Jerez de la Frontera track. A performance which, together with the position of teammate Jorge Lorenzo, indicates good growth for the Borgo Panigale team.

These are the words of Andrea Dovizioso: "We worked yesterday and today we confirmed our speed in the race. I'm happy with how I managed the race. I had a good start, I recovered quickly without overdoing it. Fifth position satisfies me a lot even if I can't say I'm happy with my speed in some fast corners. In those sections I was losing and not making the most of the bike, but after yesterday's qualifying, fifth place is more than good. Now we go to Le Mans optimistic after the two weekends in Argentina and Austin. In France I believe we can be faster thanks also to the new asphalt."

There was no shortage of compliments to his teammate, who reached his first podium with the Ducati, and second of the season for the Red team: “Jorge rode like when he was in form with the Yamaha. When you start like this, in the most difficult moments you make a difference. I congratulate him on the result."

On the difficulties experienced by Valentino Rossi he instead said: “I couldn't understand what problem he had, he simply wasn't going fast, while Vinales had problems with the front and wasn't able to make the most of the characteristics of the Yamaha. This is a Yamaha track, but last year's tires guaranteed much less grip and I think they made the difference in 2016 for this very reason."
