MotoGP Indianapolis, Free Practice 3: Bradl ahead of the Yamahas of Rossi and Lorenzo

Stefan Bradl, Honda LCR rider, achieved the best time (1:32.522) in the third free practice session of the MotoGP class in Indianapolis, scene of the tenth stage of the 2014 world championship.

The German rider brought his RC213V ahead of the Yamahas of Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo, trailing by just 16 and 84 thousandths respectively.

Next we find Andrea Dovizioso's Ducati, 245 thousandths off the top and ahead of the Yamaha of Pol Espargarò's Team Tech 3, who performed a Mamola-like feat 19 minutes from the end, when his knee literally stuck in the inside the curb, launching the driver who, with skill and luck, managed to tame his erratic M1.

Sixth time for world championship leader Marc Marquez, who like yesterday morning leaves something for his opponents. Andrea Iannone follows him, unlucky, as his Ducati equipped with the new engine fell silent just two minutes into the session. The rider from Vasto, who celebrates 25 years today, had to continue with the second bike, which had a "standard" engine and with which he didn't have the same feeling as bike #1.

Also in the Top Ten are Bradley Smith, Dani Pedrosa and Aleix Espargarò, who "knocked out" the Colombian Yonny Hernandez right under the checkered flag, who will therefore be forced to take part in Q1.

It follows Alvaro Bautista, victim of a bad high-side, which fortunately resolved itself without physical consequences, but very spectacular from a television point of view. Danilo Petrucci had a good session, the Iodaracing driver from Terni was in fact seventeenth, while Leon Camier, who replaced the injured Nicky Hayden, finished in twentieth position.
